Greetings everyone, I hope that the extended labor day weekend is going great.
It's almost time for the season to commence, and one of the more fun things for people to get involved in when it comes to sports is fantasy. I myself am not a huge fantasy sports guy, but I have been hooked on fantasy baseball for the last few years and it really does get addicting and very fun.
So this season I am going to set up *drumroll* the
1st annual Kings Hockeybuzz Fantasy Challenge.
That's right, 10/12 teams, myself included vying for bragging rights and the ability to call themselves the ruler of the fantasy world (At least here on the Kings blog.) Oh and some prizes.

10 (perhaps 12 if there is enough interest) team head to head style on 11 categories.
Categories for forwards/Dmen include (Goals, Assists, Powerplay Points, Shots on goal, Hits, faceoff wins, blocked shots)
FOW, Blocked shots, Hits gives it a little variety between centers, wings, offensive dmen, and defensive dmen IMO.
Goalie categories include (Save percentage, Saves, Goals against average, wins)
1st prize will include a standard jersey (No EDGE jerseys) of your choosing from the NHL shop.
2nd prize will be a choice of any shirt from the NHL store
and Hat from Lids.com (Since they have super slick hats) or the NHL store.
3rd prize will be any hat of your choosing from the NHL shop or Lids.com
It will be a live standard draft setup, no auction, and the date is tentatively set for the end of September. However, this date is moveable once everyone who is interested chimes in and we can get a date that works for everyone.
Selection will be a blind draw. I don't want to discriminate! If you PM me and are interested your name will go in a hat and I will pull names some time in the coming week.
One major note I can't stress enough, if you plan on playing
PLEASE PLAY. Don't bail out halfway through the year. We are doing head to head, so your matchups matter! If you don't think you will be interested in going a full year don't sign up. If there is one thing that bothers fantasy people the most, it is people who don't play 100% or don't set their rosters.
